Chapter 01 - Man's desire for God

Chapter 1 Preview: • Only God can fulfill our deepest desires. • God made all things, including you. • Every person is created with a desire for God. • We must have a personal relationship with God.

Chapter 02 - Revelation

Chapter 2 Preview: • God is eternal. • We can learn some things about God from His creation. • God has revealed Himself to us. • God is revealed through Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. • The Holy Spirit inspired the authors of the Bible. • Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God.

Chapter 03 - The Holy Trinity

Chapter 3 Preview: • The Holy Trinity is the central mystery of our faith. • The Trinity means that there are three divine Persons in one God. • The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all divine Persons, of the one divine nature. • Jesus is the Son of God, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity.

Chapter 04 - God is Our Father

Chapter 4 Preview: • People are the only part of this world created for their own sake. • We are made for God, to be His children. • We become sons and daughters of God at our Baptism. • All people are made in the image and likeness of God. • We owe God our love and obedience.

Chapter 05 - Original Sin

Chapter 5 Preview: • Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden in friendship with God. • The devil took the form of a serpent and tempted Adam and Eve to disobey God's command. • Adam and Eve's sin brought death into the world and forfeited the right to Heaven. • God promised to send a Savior to save us from sin.

Chapter 06 - God's Revelation to israel

Chapter 6: • Men worshiped false gods. • God called Abraham and made a promise to him. • Abraham's descendants are the people of Israel, who had a special relationship with God. • We read about God's relationship with Israel in the Old Testament. • Jesus came from the people of Israel.

Chapter 07 - The Incarnation

Chapter 7 Preview: • The Archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that God had chosen her to be the mother of His Son. • Mary was preserved from sin through her Immaculate Conception. • Mary embraced God's will in her life. • God the Son became man in the womb of the Virgin Mary. • Jesus died for our sins and established a new covenant.

Chapter 08 - Redemption

Chapter 8 Preview: • Jesus is fully human. • Jesus instituted the Eucharist at the Last Supper. • Jesus was crucified on Good Friday. • Jesus freely offered His life as a sacrifice for our sins. • Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. • We will also rise from the dead.

Chapter 09 - The Church and The Holy Spirit

Chapter 9 Preview: • Forty days after rising from the dead, Jesus ascended to Heaven. • Ten days later, on Pentecost, the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit. • The Holy Spirit will remain with the Church forever. • The Church has received the gift of Infallibility from the Spirit.

Chapter 10 - The Marks of The Church

Chapter 10 Preview: • There are four marks that help us identify the Church Jesus founded. • The Church is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. • St. Peter was the first pope.
